Just over five years from leaving his post on The Daily Show, Jon Stewart will return to TV sets as part of a new program for Apple.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stewart will anchor a new current affairs series expected to arrive in 2021 for Apple TV+, as part of a multi-year deal with the company.
The yet-to-be-titled show will reportedly find Stewart exploring topics related to national headlines and his own advocacy work.
Single-subject episodes will run an hour in length, with the show already set to run multiple seasons. THR notes it is expected that a companion podcast will accompany the show's launch.
News of the series comes after Stuart sat in the director's chair for Irresistible earlier this year.
