Jamie Foxx is returning to the MCU, as the actor is set to reprise his role as Spider-Man villain Electro.

Foxx — who played Electro opposite Andrew Garfield in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 — is in final talks to return for Spider-Man 3, according to The Hollywood Reporter. At this point, though, Foxx's return has not been officially confirmed.

The latest film will find Tom Holland taking on the role of Spider-Man, while the director will be Jon Watts, the filmmaker behind Homecoming and last year's Spider-Man: Far from Home.

As The Hollywood Reporter points out, most of the supporting cast from the previous movies — such as Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon and Tony Revolori  — are expected to return.

So far, Sony has set the release date of November 5, 2021, for the next Spider-Man film.
