John Wick: Chapter 4 — one of Exclaim!'s Most Anticipated Films of 2023 — is just over a month away from charging into theatres, and a final trailer has revealed more about the role pop power Rina Sawayama will play onscreen.
Sawayama, who shared sophomore album Hold the Girl last September, will play Akira Shimazu in the forthcoming film from director Chad Stahelski — the fourth entry in the John Wick film franchise. She was named to the cast in May 2021.
Taking a glimpse at Chapter 4's latest trailer, it appears the British-Japanese artist's character possesses some serious assassination skills. Around the 30-second mark, a Sawayama supercut find her driving knives into an assailant, at one point dropping in on her target from the ceiling.
