The 71st Primetime Emmy Awards were given out last night (September 22) in a ceremony that featured plenty of happy surprises and a few big upsets.
Game of Thrones added two more trophies to its mantle (following 10 Creative Arts Emmys last week) for its controversial final season, including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Supporting Actor for Peter Dinklage.
Fleabag cleaned up in the comedy categories, though, taking home Outstanding Comedy Series and, in a surprise win, Phoebe Waller-Bridge took home the prize for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Fleabag — beating out Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep), Catherina O'Hara (Schitt's Creek) and Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel). Fleabag also nabbed the titles for Outstanding Directing and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.
Bill Hader, meanwhile, won in the Lead Actor in a Comedy Series category for Barry.
In the dramatic categories, Billy Porter won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role on Pose, while Jodie Comer won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Killing Eve.
See the full list of winners from last night's show below. Winners appear in bold.
As previously reported, the Creative Arts Emmys were handed out prior to the broadcast show. Unfortunately, Beyoncé left empty-handed.
