Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and his mother Virginia Hanlon Grohl shared their plot to launch their own TV show back in February, and now, we're getting a better idea of what's to come from the Paramount+ six-part series.

From Cradle to Stage is now due to arrive on May 6, and the show has lined up some of the younger Grohl's best music industry buds. The Grohls will host Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons and Christene Reynolds in the debut episode, which will begin the exploration of the "relationship between successful musicians and their moms."

Subsequent episodes will air on a weekly basis up until June 10. Pharrell, Miranda Lambert, Brandi Carlile, Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello and Rush's Geddy Lee are all set to appear.

"I believe that the relationship between a musician and their mother is so important because it's the foundation of their understanding of love, which is surely every artist's greatest muse," said Grohl in a statement.

He added: "Having the opportunity to travel the country and tell the stories of these amazing women behind the curtain not only shed some light on the music that they inspired, but also made me appreciate the love that I was given from my own mother, my best friend."

From Cradle to Stage was directed by Dave Grohl and was inspired by his mother's book, From Cradle to Stage: Stories from the Mothers Who Rocked and Raised Rock Stars.

The series' trailer launched today for non-Canadian audiences. If that descriptor fits you, watch the clip below.

As previously reported, Dave Grohl is also releasing his What Drives Us film on April 30 via Amazon Prime.
