After sharing an update on a new album back in August, Dan Mangan has revealed he's in the midst of composing two new scores, one of which is for a forthcoming Netflix show.

Mangan announced the projects in his new newsletter, writing of the secretive Netflix project, "the more episodes they send me to add music to, the more I am convinced that this is a really special and unique project. The writing, the visual treatment, the storytelling. It's magical, touching, whimsical and funny. Really funny."

Of course, Mangan doesn't mention the show in question by name, adding, "I wish so badly that I could tell you what it's called and when you can watch it, but I'm not allowed to do that just yet. Rest assured, I'll be hounding you to give it a try when the time comes."

The songwriter then revealed that his second score will appear in a miniseries titled Unspeakable. Set to arrive on AMC and CBC next year, Mangan explained that the production will tell a fictional story surrounding Canada's tainted blood scandal of the 1980s.

Mangan released surprise EP Unmake last year.
