'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Actor Shelley Berman Dead at 92

Veteran comedian and actor Shelley Berman has passed away. Known to many as Larry David's father on Curb Your Enthusiasm, he died at the age of 92. 

Berman passed away in his sleep this morning (September 1) due to complications from Alzheimer's. The news was confirmed in a post on his official Facebook page.

Berman was, first and foremost, a standup comedian who helped pioneer the artform, performing alongside people like Lenny Bruce, Mort Sahl and Bob Newhart.

In addition to Curb, Berman appeared in television shows like The Twilight ZoneThe Mary Tyler Moore ShowL.A. Law and Friends. He also appeared in Broadway productions of The Odd Couple and Damn Yankees, among others.
