Brendan Fraser Joins Martin Scorsese's 'Killers of the Flower Moon'

The film already features Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jesse Plemons, Sturgill Simpson and Jason Isbell

Brendan Fraser is the latest talent to join the cast of Martin Scorsese's forthcoming period crime drama Killers of the Flower Moon.

Deadline reports that Fraser will play lawyer W.S. Hamilton in Scorsese's production, which also stars Leonardo DiCaprioRobert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, Sturgill Simpson and Jason Isbell, Lily Gladstone, Tantoo Cardinal, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins and Jillian Dion.

Killers of the Flower Moon, which was picked up by Apple last year, is based on a 2017 non-fiction book by journalist David Grann that chronicles a series of early 1920s murders of wealthy Osage people after oil deposits were discovered beneath their land.

Scorsese previously said of the adaptation: "When I read David Grann's book, I immediately started seeing it — the people, the settings, the action — and I knew that I had to make it into a movie. I'm so excited to be working with Eric Roth and reuniting with Leo DiCaprio to bring this truly unsettling American story to the screen."

Last month, Fraser appeared in Steven Soderbergh's No Sudden MoveDeadline also points out that the actor has joined the cast of Max Barbakow's Brothers, which features Peter Dinklage, Josh Brolin and Glenn Close.
