Canadian horror fans have come to expect a great deal of fun when the Blood in the Snow Film Festival lands each fall, but organizers are offering an early treat with a new tour.

Blood in the Snow will present four screenings throughout Ontario in March, hitting cinemas in Peterborough, Kitchener, Ottawa and Kingston throughout the month.

The Peterborough shows will take place at the Market Hall Performing Arts Centre on March 1 and 2. In Kitchener, the fest will happen on March 13 and 14 at the Apollo Cinema. Ottawa will offer a weekend at the Mayfair Theatre on March 27 and 28. Finally, Kingston will host the fest at the Screening Room on March 29 and 30.

If you feel like following along, each city will offer its own curated lineup. Some of the films that will be playing include Alive, No Trespassing, Abduction, The Final Ride, I'll Take Your Dead, The Hoard, Lifechanger, Darken and Boneyard, among others.

"We can't wait to bring these awesome Canadian films on tour, and especially to give the local filmmakers a big hometown screening," festival director (and Peterborough native) Kelly Michael Stewart said in a statement. "We are thrilled to be able to champion Canadian and local filmmakers, and introduce them to an audience that may not have as much access to independent film."

The full festival lineup is available here, where you can also grab tickets.
