Billy Corgan stays pretty busy. While he's probably best known for fronting the Smashing Pumpkins — who were just announced as part of this year's Osheaga lineup — the musician has also long been involved with professional wrestling. Corgan purchased the the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) in 2017, and has since served as its president.
Thanks to this role, he'll now be dipping his toes into another (perhaps unexpected) realm: reality TV. The NWA has announced a new partnership with television network the CW to air their programming, and Corgan is set to appear in a reality show primarily about his career in the wrestling world.
The TV series is described in a press release as a "brand new unscripted untitled series about Corgan’s life, family, role as President of NWA, and his 'day job,'" and it will debut on the network later in 2024. It is said to offer an “unprecedented vignette into every dimension of his world with unparalleled candour.”
As Stereogum points out, Corgan and his wife Chloe mentioned the forthcoming reality show about their lives when they appeared on WGN-TV's New Year's Eve broadcast.
