The beloved John Landis/Eddie Murphy comedy Coming to America has had a long-gestating sequel in the works for years, and now it looks like it will arrive before the end of the year.
The new film, which was of course titled Coming 2 America, has reportedly been picked up by Amazon.
According to Variety, sources say the company bought the movie for a whopping $125 million USD and plan to debut it on Amazon Prime Video on December 18.
While the details are still being hammered out — including possible product placement deals with McDonald's and Crown Royal — the deal is being reported as done.
Coming 2 America is being helmed by Hustle & Flow director Craig Brewer.
