Alice in Chains Unveil 'Rainier Fog' Companion Film

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Dec 13, 2018

Alice in Chains released Rainier Fog earlier this year, and now the long-running alt-rock outfit have revealed plans for a companion film.

Titled Black Antenna, the movie was produced and directed by Adam Mason. It's a sci-fi film that was inspired by the 10 songs on the record, and it will be released episodically over 10 instalments beginning next year. Each clip is set to a different song from the album.

"We've always toyed with the idea of creating videos for every song on one of our albums," drummer Sean Kinney said in a statement. "Not only did we do that for Rainier Fog, it got totally out of hand and we made a whole goddamn movie. Everything that will be seen in the videos will be footage from Black Antenna to preface the complete film's release."

Rainier Fog was released in August and marked the band's first studio album in five years. It has since been nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Rock Album category.
