Adult Swim has just released a live-action teaser from Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon's Rick and Morty, with Back to the Future's Christopher Lloyd as Rick and It's Jaeden Martell as Morty.
Rick and Morty is famously inspired by the Back to the Future franchise, so it makes more than a little sense that Lloyd was tapped to play the flesh-and-blood Rick Sanchez.
In the scene, posted to Twitter, Lloyd and Martell emerge from a portal and into the garage, there's a burp and an "Oh geez," and…that's about it! At 14 seconds, the clip doesn't reveal much about anything. Is it an episode? A movie? A prank? Who can say?
However, for anyone willing to do the digging, the scene was captioned "C-132," which is the reality designation of the first two volumes of Oni Press' Rick and Morty comic. That probably means something!
Rick and Morty's fifth season debuted on Adult Swim on June 20. However, the series took a break after August 8, and Adult Swim announced that it would merge the last two episodes into the season finale.
