Following the lead of Queen and Mötley Crüe, KISS are reportedly set to get the biopic treatment courtesy of director Joachim Rønning and Netflix.

As Deadline reports, Netflix is finalizing a deal following a bidding war for a forthcoming KISS film dubbed Shout It Out Loud

Rønning, whose credits include Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, will direct the production with a script penned by Ole Sanders, while the project will be co-produced by Mark Canton's Atmosphere Entertainment and Universal Music Group.

Deadline reports that the film "will have close cooperation from bandleaders Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley," taking viewers back to when the pair were "two misfit kids from Queens who formed an unlikely friendship" and subsequently formed what would become one of most recognizable bands the world has seen.

With the deal yet to be completed, further details on Shout It Out Loud's casting and release date are not yet available.

KISS kicked off their farewell "End of the Road World Tour" with a Vancouver performance in 2019, though the trek was soon interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic. A New Year's Eve performance in Dubai last year saw the band attempt three pyrotechnics world records.
