The comedian gave a shout-out to Montreal band Stars last night (April 5), sharing the lyrics to "Your Ex Lover Is Dead" on Twitter.
When there's nothing left to burn you have to set yourself on fire

⬆️from Stars' "Your Ex Lover Is Dead" which is a waltz and I love it
It's nothing but time and a face that you lose/
— Sarah Silverman (@SarahKSilverman) April 6, 2018
I chose to feel it and you couldn't choose/
I'll write you a postcard-
I'll send you the news/
From a house down the road from real love
-STARS (that waltz I tol you about)
Here's more...
There's one thing I want to say, so I'll be brave
— Sarah Silverman (@SarahKSilverman) April 6, 2018
You were what I wanted
I gave what I gave
I'm not sorry I met you
I'm not sorry it's over
I'm not sorry there's nothing to save
I'm not sorry there's nothing to save
The band were quick to take notice, not only thanking Silverman for getting the words correct, but also offering her the opportunity to "sing this with us one day." Plus, they offered to send her some presents.
