Funnyman Reggie Watts has been making his mark on the music world as of late, as he's crossed paths with Jack White's Third Man Records, James Murply and Eagle and Talon. Now, he's released a free score for the Ridley Scott-directed/Tom Cruise-starring Legend.
That's right: he scored the entire film. A brief blurb [via Brooklyn Vegan] explains, "The 1:31 long soundtrack was created on the fly by Reggie using his voice, looping devices, three synthesizers and various effects to make a strangely beautiful and humorous original score as the film silently rolled at The Roxie during SF Sketchfest. The soundtrack made its world premiere at SXSW to a sold out house."
If you've got an hour and half to spare, download the track below and put the film on mute for the intended effect. Anyone think that bit around 12:30 sounds like "Kiss from a Rose" by Seal?
