Alan Kim emerged as one of our favourite breakout stars from director Lee Isaac Chung's now Oscar-nominated Minari. And we've just learned about the young actor's next role: a spot on grossly underrated Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens.
As TV Line reports, Kim will star in the upcoming second season of Awkwafina's Comedy Central series. Apparently, he will play the young version of Nora's dad, Wally (played in present day as BD Wong), during flashbacks.
So far, Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens Season 2 does not have a premiere date, but the show is currently shooting in New York.
Minari is up for a ton of Academy Awards this year, including Best Picture. And while Kim himself didn't net himself an Oscar nom, he did win the Critics Choice Award for Best Young Performer, and he's nominated for a BAFTA in the Best Supporting Actor category.
