For all the excitement surrounding Zen Guerrilla in the last few years, they never fail to disappoint me and this latest album is no exception. This is barely pumped-up blues-rock that isn't far enough away from a Sunday "open jam" night to make it exceptional in any way. The structures are all ultra-traditional and every guitar solo and singer's scream can be seen coming a mile away. The vocalist does have a cool afro haircut, but he's coming from the Pearl Jam/Creed school of singing and that isn't so cool. This is a very boring record.
