Right in the heart of Scion Sessions Week earlier this month, Louisville, KY noisemakers Young Widows played a free show at the Shop under Parts & Labour in Toronto. The good people over at AUX captured the band's heavy performance and spoke with lead singer and guitarist Evan Patterson about the difference between live and studio settings, as well as how "tolling" it can be to play this kind of "amps at 11, balls to the wall" music.
Patterson's brother Ryan was also at the show with his hardcore outfit Coliseum, and those in attendance received a copy of the split 7-inch featuring both Patterson groups, as well as a cut from Hamilton punks TV Freaks.
If you couldn't be at the show, you can still get your hands on the record, along with the rest of the Scion Sessions releases, by entering Exclaim!'s contest over here.
