While practising social distancing from the comfort of his dining room, Yes We Mystic's Adam Fuhr has recorded a new live version of one of the band's unreleased tracks, "echo/window/shadow."
The clip arrives today after the band realized the timeliness of the track's lyrics in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
"The murky paranoia of the lyrics have taken on a new life in our current moment, feeling strangely prescient to what's going on right now," wrote the band in a statement, "It kinda creeped us out a little bit."
Fuhr added: "I've been thinking a lot about how the problems we've been trying to ignore cannot be outrun, be that on a societal level, or simply people living with a roommate or a partner with strife in the relationship. It's all gonna come out now."
The song was originally written for their 2019 record Ten Seated Figures, but didn't make the cut. So far the band have not announced plans to release a follow-up to last year's Figures, but Fuhr did recently launch a new record label, House of Wonders.
