WTF: Classic Album Covers Get Kitty Makeover

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Aug 17, 2011

Have you ever just stared at your record collection and wondered how much better the covers would look if they were plastered with pictures of adorable cats? Well, even if you didn't, the team over at the OC Weekly certainly did, explaining the handful of newly feline-friendly artwork retweaks the publication revealed.

Ranging from crude cut and paste jobs placing cat heads on iconic covers to Guns N' Roses' Appetite for Destruction and Rage Against the Machine's Evil Empire, to an epic battle between a playful kitten and the beast that regularly adorns the Rolling Stones' Bridges to Babylon, the reworked images are bound to elicit "awwws" from fans of CuteOverload.com. Chances are noted cat lover Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast would get a kick out of this too.

For you tough guys out there, just check out what they did to Twister Sister's Stay Hungry (above). How adorably metal is it when you plop a pet's face atop Dee Snider's meat-munching mug? Apparently, very.

Thanks to The Daily Swarm for the heads-up.
