Back in August, Scottish indie pop heroes Belle and Sebastian treated their fans to a contest, offering up prizes in exchange for photos displaying the new album title, Belle and Sebastian Write About Love, in a public place. Now, with the LP due out in a week (and already streaming online), the band have announced another new contest. This time, it will culminate in the group releasing a new song inspired by one of their fans.
The way in works is this: printed inside of every copy of Write About Love is a unique code. You have to paste that code here, and then write a 300 words about love. According to the Matablog, it can be about love in "in any sense of the word. Why you love. Who you love. What you love. Where you love. Anything. Just write about love."
If Belle and Sebastian pick your entry as the winner, frontman Stuart Murdoch will fly out to your hometown to hang out with you for an afternoon. Once that's over, he will write a song about you, which will be released on a seven-inch sometime in 2011. Yes, you could be the next Judy, Antony or Sukie.
There's currently no end date on the contest, but be sure to get that entry in as soon as possible.
