Winona Forever Celebrate Surreal Fun in the Sun in "5alive" Video

Montreal-via-Vancouver band Winona Forever have unveiled a video for their brand new single "5alive."

The feel-good tune has been paired with a clip that matches the vibe. It was directed by Lester Lyons-Hookham and shot on 16mm film that he'd been saving in his freezer for 10 years — leaving them with just 11 minutes of leeway to get all the shots they wanted.

"'5alive' aims to capture the feeling of waking up on your day off and having complete freedom to do what you like," the band tell Exclaim! "The video channels surrealist inspiration, as [singer] Rowan's duvet comes to life to dance through the day with him. Above all, we wanted the video to match the fun and carefree energy of the song."

The video was shot in the backyard of Winona Forever's old house in Vancouver, just a week before they hit the road to make the move to Montreal.
