Whitehorse Set Loose 'Panther in the Dollhouse' on New Album

BY Calum SlingerlandPublished Mar 1, 2017

After teasing some new sounds back in January with single "Boys Like You," Whitehorse have lifted the curtain on a new album. Titled Panther in the Dollhouse, the new disc will arrive on May 12 through Six Shooter Records.

Ten tracks in length, Panther in the Dollhouse finds the band teaming up once more with producers Gus Van Go and Werner F, who handled duties on their previous LP Leave No Bridge Unburned.

Whitehorse also brought production duo Likeminds into the fold, promising an addition of "vintage drum machines, samplers and analog synths into duo's space twang sound."

A press release reveals that Panther in the Dollhouse sees Whitehorse turn "a microscope on domestic life to reveal a writhing, tangled biota of dreams and desire, despair and degradation," while their songwriting "makes a clean break from autobiography to fully embrace cinematic fiction in sleek, stylized collages of neo-noir drama and high-gloss showmanship."
