White Poppy Gets Set for New Album on Not Not Fun

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jul 11, 2013

Though White Poppy (aka Crystal Dorval) just issued her gauzy Drifters Gold EP last week, the Vancouver ambient pop player hinted that a full-length would be on the way by the end of the summer. The cat is now fully out of the bag, as it's been confirmed that a self-titled LP arrives September 3 via Not Not Fun.

While previous White Poppy releases had apparently been bedroom jobs, a press release notes that Dorval recorded the set over at the Noise Floor Recording Studio in Ladysmith, BC. Though song samples have yet to arrive, the record is said to feature ten "delirious dream-gaze gems" that focus on "glittering guitar gestures, sky-way keyboard cascades and neon-violet vocal refractions." You can see the tracklisting down below, and peep the record cover up above.

While we wait for the new tunes, you can check out the still-fresh Drifters Gold in the Bandcamp player at the bottom of the page.
