The Wheat Pool's Mike Angus Announces Summer Canadian Dates

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jul 20, 2011

Last month, we revealed that Mike Angus, bassist/vocalist for darkened Edmonton country outfit the Wheat Pool, was choosing to keep the band on ice to focus on some solo work, and now he's taking his new tunes out on the road as well. With his new disc Hymns hitting stores yesterday (July 19), the musician is ready to show off his current batch of moody, minimalist folk tunes.

Angus will be travelling around later this summer for a string of shows. The Ontario-heavy schedule kicks off August 26 in Windsor, ON before heading out as far west as Moose Jaw, SK. Angus will be joined by fellow solo artist Andy Shauf for the bulk of the trip. Check out the schedule below.

As previously reported, Hymns was released on Shameless.
