Pop star Ke$ha recently revealed that her sophomore set would receive some assistance from iconic proto-punk Iggy Pop, but it looks as if the "Tik Tok" singer has roped in a few other big players for the recording. Some newly tweeted videos from Flaming Lips leader Wayne Coyne confirm that he and power pop prince Ben Folds have been in the studio arranging a new tune for the singer.
"Sounding cool!! Recording and stacking strings with @BenFolds on cool new @keshasuxx track," Coyne tweeted, while including a video clip featuring a cello player and some violinists bowing out a pleasant melody. Another video, meanwhile, finds Lips member Stephen Drozd playing the piano and Folds conducting the session from afar.
Ke$ha has yet to comment on the collaboration. It's also as yet unclear what the song is called, or if the singer was actually in the studio with the crew today (August 21). Ke$ha hasn't delivered a title or a street date for the collection either.
For now, though, you can check out those videos here and here.
Ke$ha had previously worked with Coyne for the Lips' collaborative album The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends, singing on album opener "2012."
