Out promoting Washed Out's Sub Pop debut Within and Without, Ernest Greene and co. have hooked up with Yours Truly to give album track "Far Away" a soft rock makeover.
Recored live at Hyde Street Studios in San Francisco, this version of the track definitely comes sporting a different vibe than that of the album version, with Greene and the players getting all '70s MOR on this sucker and even including one of those now in vogue sax solos.
It definitely showcases a more organic and relaxed Washed Out, proving that if Greene wants to ever go in that full-band direction he can likely make it work.
