After unleashing a self-proclaimed "embarrassing" U2 medley on unsuspecting fans, we couldn't have been happier when the Walkmen announced that they would be releasing a brand new album of their own material. Entitled Heaven, the upcoming LP was originally slated to drop on June 5 via Fat Possum/Bella Union, but has been bumped up to a May 29 release date.
We've previously heard the title track from the Phil Ek-produced Heaven, as well as fellow album cut "Heartbreaker," but as for the rest of the tracklisting, we're still in suspense.
We'll just have to console ourselves knowing that the follow-up to 2010's Lisbon will arrive a week ahead of schedule.
Check out the New York band's upcoming North American tour schedule below, which includes Toronto and Montreal dates opening for Florence and the Machine.
