Esau Mwamwaya and Radioclit's Johan Hugo have come together again as the Very Best to deliver a new album this summer. Titled MTMTMK, the new LP will be released on July 17 via Moshi Moshi/Cooperative Music, marking the follow-up to last year's Super Mom Mixtape.
Always open to collaborations, the duo's new record will feature contributions from Amadou & Mariam, Baaba Maal and K'naan, to name a few. MTMTMK was recorded in Lilongwe, Malawi, where Mwamwaya grew up.
The Very Best have also revealed lead single "Yoshua Alikuti," along with an accompanying music video. The Village Beat-directed clip spoofs Lil Wayne's vid for "A Milli" and was shot on location in Nairobi, Kenya. Watch the new video for "Yoshua Alikuti" below.
