Third in the Camping series, BPitch Control label owner Ellen Allien compiled this great list of exclusive and remixed tracks that etch out a blueprint for what’s to come from the label in 2007. Introducing the album is label guest Jahcoozi, with British/Sri-Lankan vocalist Sasha Perera, who has a similar verbal affront as M.I.A., freestyling over a more tech-ed out Baltimore beat. TimTim’s "You Sexy Beast” vocally sounds like an orgy gone right with Prince and the Junior Boys: utterly sensual but somehow removed. Paul Kalkbrenner and Zander VT offer a more unforgiving techno beat, while Ellen Allien & Apparat and Fairmont provide more wandering, contemplative spaces. Feadz treads into heavier territory with a slower BPM, heavy acid sounds and a harder techno beat. "Weed wid da Macka,” produced and remixed by Modeselektor, is straight up ragga-tech and is nothing short of brilliant. Camping offers a wide variety of cutting-edge electronic music styles that you would not normally hear side by side, and is an achievement for the Berlin-based label.
