Summery and light, just like Italian beer. And while Italian beer tastes awful any time other than in blistering midsummer — when it tastes fantastic — I can’t imagine anyone wanting to hear this in February. But who cares! It’s fucking hot out! The first disc, mixed by Ben Sowton, is highlighted by Ad Finem’s "Joy” and Canadian DJ/producer Fred Everything’s track "Next To Me,” featuring Roy Davis Jr. — both laidback slabs of dance floor soul amidst the more jazzy tracks. Disc two has a deeper jazzy vibe — mixed by Rollercone — that wanders for a while and never really gets back on track, especially after the mid-disc lull that is Limbo Experience’s "Illusion.” Still, the first disc is worth checking out, as long as the temperature stays high.
