The Get Hip folks have put out this meaty release (26 songs, 70 minutes, 16 page liner notes) as part of their archive series. As can be guessed by the title, the excavation site for this rarities dig was Italy. Most of the songs are sung in Italian, which is probably the reason why the material here has stayed in Italy until now. This compilation is not as strong as a lot of the other ’60s rediscovered obscurities releases, but it isn’t crapissimo, either.
