Vagrant Records has announced it is launching a new imprint that will handle heavy music. Branded Density Records, the upstart label has already signed its first act, Kingston, ON's own I Hate Sally, who will make their debut on the label with a U.S. release of Don't Worry Lady, which found a home on Underground Operations last year.
According to Vagrant's co-found and president, Rich Egan, the label felt it was time to launch an arm that could reach a whole new audience. "We've been hearing some really exciting younger, heavier bands and wanted to bring them into the Vagrant family. Density allows us to branch out into heavier music and reach a new group of music fans."
