Following a hefty lead-up, U2 have finally released their Songs of Experience. So if you've been itching to hear what the iconic rock group have in store, you can stream the album in full now.
U2's new album follows 2014's Songs of Innocence, as well as an anniversary tour behind their classic The Joshua Tree album. Songs of Experience also comes with the Kendrick Lamar-assisted "American Soul" and "Get Out of Your Own Way" intact, as well as the previously shared "The Blackout" and "You're the Best Thing About Me."
A press release previously had this to say about the album:
The lyrical approach of the album was greatly inspired by Irish poet, novelist and Trinity College, Dublin Professor Emeritus Brendan Kennelly's advice to Bono to "write as if you're dead,' resulting in a collection of songs in the form of intimate letters to places and people close to the singer's heart — family, friends, fans, himself.
You can now hear how that plays out for yourself down below, as well as read Exclaim!'s review of the record here.
Songs of Experience is out now via Universal Canada. You can also see their upcoming tour dates here, as well as Exclaim!'s Essential Guide to U2 over here. You can order it in standard CD, vinyl, deluxe CD and super deluxe vinyl editions via MusicVaultz.
