With Christmas just around the corner, it's the season for giving. This year is no different, with artists like Bob Dylan, Fucked Up and Julian Casablancas all already on deck to spread some holiday cheer. Now, the good people at Sonic Unyon have thrown their Santa hat in the ring and announced their own charitable Christmas party.

Taking place on December 19 at This Ain't Hollywood in Hamilton, ON, the Sonic Unyon Christmas Bash will bring together classic and new bands alike from the label to celebrate the season and help feed Hamilton's homeless.

Among the bands playing are long-inactive Canadian indie rock heroes Tristan Psionic, who haven't performed together for a whopping eight years, and SIANspheric, who played their first show in ages this past Saturday (November 14). The bands will be joined by newer pop rockin' Sonic Unyon trio Spirits, with more acts to be announced. Between sets, Sonic Unyon staff will DJ.

Perhaps the best part, though, is that attendees can get in for only $5 if they bring a non-perishable food item or a new toy to be given to Hamilton's homeless. If you forget to bring a donation, or don't have a soul, you can get in for $10. Still, donations are strongly encouraged.
