Travis Barker Settles Lawsuit With Rockstar

After a long battle with Rockstar Energy Drink, former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has succeeded in settling his lawsuit, in which he sought for both punitive and statutory damages.

The lawsuit, which was filed on January 16, was brought on by Rockstar’s illegal use of Barker’s photo to promote their beverages. The photo, which showed Barker holding a can of one of the Rockstar beverages, appeared on the company’s website and identified Barker and his endorsement by name, without consent. The lawsuit claimed invasion of privacy, unfair competition and misappropriating likeness to promote a product.

Both parties are said to be working out the terms of the settlement, which will not be disclosed until the deal is completed. The agreement will take 45 days to finalise before a Los Angeles Superior Court. The next hearing will be held on April 17.
