Perhaps tired of waiting for his Rancid band-mates to catch up with his Clash fetish, Tim Armstrong has launched this side project that allows him to dabble in other forms of urban music in much the same way the legendary British punks did on Sandanista and Combat Rock. Along for the ride are former AFI merch dude Rob Aston and Blink 182/Boxcar Racer skin basher Travis Barker, as well as a plethora of Bay Area friends and scenesters making cameos. Based around gutter punk/Slayer-style guitar riffs and crashing drum loops with a heavy reggae and hip-hop influence, this debut is kind of like a punk rock Gorillaz — diverse and anarchistic but with a beat you can dance to.
