Toronto's Karma Cup Festival — Canada's longest-running elite medical cannabis competition — has detailed its ninth annual edition, taking place September 10 and 11 in the city's west end.

The festival will include a vendor village, a live art mural by Uber 5000, glass demos, a massive sesh area for socializing and consumption, and live music from City Natives, Friendlyness, Jason Palma, DJ Corey Dawkins, DJ Pablo and more artists to be announced.

Karma Cup was founded in 2014 by Sarah Sunday to create a positive space for cannabis growers, producers, business owners, industry experts and their fans to come together and celebrate the best products on an even playing field through a blind competition — meaning all samples are packaged with generic labels to avoid the influence of hype bias. Anyone can apply to evaluate by buying a judges kit, which will be available starting August 19.

The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday (September 11) at 3:30 p.m. ET, revealing the results of the competition — which saw 110 entries from cannabis producers across the country this year — in all nine categories: Indica bud, Hybrid bud, Sativa bud, Shatter & Budder, High Terpene & Live, solventless extract, edible, topical and CBD product.

The exact location of the fest's outdoor venue has yet to be shared, but it is promised to be TTC accessible and near plenty of convenient parking. The grand announcement will take place on September 9 at 7:10 p.m. via social media and email blast. You can also text KARMA to (833) 396-1332 to get on the list for updates and the venue address when it is announced.

Karma Cup is a 19+ event and a valid government photo ID will be required for entry. Medical documentation is not necessary.

Single-day tickets will be sold at the door, while weekend passes are available in advance for $35 here. Use the code EXCLAIM for $5 off at checkout (or to save even more at the door).
