If you didn't manage to get your hands on an extremely expensive physical copy of Tool's long-awaited album Fear Inoculum, you're in luck — the band's latest will get treated to an expanded release next month.
Tool have announced that an "expanded book edition" of their fifth studio album will touch down December 13.
The new CD set packages the album alongside five 3D lenticular cards with exclusive graphics, an expanded 56-page booklet with additional art, and a download of the album's accompanying "Recusant Ad Infinitum" visuals.
Fear Inoculum's expanded book edition is now available for pre-order. The album's CD edition, which has been sold out since its September release, arrived in three different variants and came bundled with a rechargeable 4-inch HD screen that displays the aforementioned "Recusant Ad Infinitum."
Tool recently played Toronto, marking the only Canadian stop on their current North American tour. You can read Exclaim!'s review of the show.
Drummer Danny Carey, meanwhile, says the band have "tons of material" for a follow-up.
