Thunderheist Debut Set For March 31

Capitalizing on the success of their Jerk It EP, Thunderheist are finally lining up a full-length. On March 31, the hotly tipped electro duo are set to release their self-titled debut album via Big Dada, the home of like-minded artists such as Diplo, Spank Rock and Roots Manuva, as well as the European home to fellow Canadian Cadence Weapon.

We've yet to get a taste of this upcoming effort by the Toronto/Montreal duo but the press release says: "Mashing up the minimalism of Detroit techno, the luxuriousness of Moroder-inspired disco and blaring, synth-heavy booty beats with their m.o. of "when you come to the show, someone's getting pregnant," Thunderheist more than deliver on the promise of the early demos that have been floating around the internet for months now."

Thunderheist haven't provided a tracklisting for the album yet but they have mapped out a few upcoming tour dates, two of which find them in Alberta later this month. Here are the stops announced so far:

12/26 Edmonton, AB -€“ Starlite
12/27 Calgary, AB -€“ Broken City
1/15 New York City, NY -€“ Santos House
1/17 Chicago, IL -€“ Schubas
2/7 Guelph, CA -€“ Hillside Inside
