Southern rap greats Three 6 Mafia have already delved into the world of reality television, with the short-lived but kind of hilarious 2007 show Adventures in Hollyhood. Now, the boys will be returning with a brand new cooking program.
According to various reports, and confirmed on All Hip Hop, the show is called Cookin' Ain't Easy and will see the boys prepare and cook meals for celebrity guests at weekly dinner parties. The show is currently being shopped to major networks.
"It is a completely fresh approach to a cooking show," said producer Adam Briles. "You get much of the same take-away information that viewers expect from the genre but it is served up in such a unique, relatable and funny way that it is just flat out entertaining."
"We're not just cooking soul food like people might expect," adds rapper Juicy J. "We're cooking Indian food, Italian, Asian, Middle Eastern food - all different kinds of foods that people wouldn't think we could cook. It's a comedy, it's funny and we love bringing people together for it."
No air date has been set for Cookin' Ain't Easy, as they're still waiting to confirm a network. But, seriously, who wouldn't want to see this show?
