Ohio has a proud, albeit, underappreciated tradition of producing some of the weirdest and most innovative rock bands Pere Ubu, Devo
anyone? While TMIBH are not on the same level as either of those bands, they definitely take their cues from them. The half black, half white quartet offer up a blend of jittery, angular post-punk and solid pounding rhythms. Their sophomore effort (with a title cheekily and lovingly ripped off from Public Enemy) was produced by Steve Albini, who puts his raw style to work in capturing the essence and urgency of the songs. Its a potent mix of style and substance.
