The View Throw Fisticuffs Onstage in Manchester, Postpone Tonight's Show

Frontman Kyle Falconer took swings at bassist Kieren Webster mid-show

Scottish rock band the View — who are probably best known for their summery 2007 UK hit "Same Jeans" — were on hiatus since 2017 before getting back together last year, and judging by last night's show in Manchester, that decision might've been premature.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News, the View fans at Manchester's Deaf Institute were treated to what looked like a one-sided on-stage brawl when frontman Kyle Falconer started taking swings at bassist Kieren Webster seemingly out of nowhere.

The fight appears to have started right after the band wrapped up their song "Skag Trendy," when Falconer suddenly whacks Webster in the back of the head after the bassist walked up to the singer's mic. Falconer then proceeds to throw down his guitar and punch Webster before grabbing, kicking and continually punching him until the two are pulled apart.

Falconer then returned to the stage after the fight for a solo song and told the crowd, "Sorry. If you want, Kieren can come and finish the set. The problem with this band is that he wants to sing the songs and he can't."

The View were set to play in London tonight, but that show won't happen, according to a statement posted on the band's Twitter, which says the show is postponed and that "our promoter is working to resolve the situation."
