Mike Skinner has been hard at work on his grime project the Streets, collaborating with the likes of Tame Impala and preparing a new mixtape called None of Us Are Getting Out of This Life Alive. We had previously seen a tracklisting for the outing, but now he's gone ahead and prepped a timely new song that he wrote last week.
"Where the Fuck Did April Go" is a question we've all been asking ourselves, and now Skinner has put it to music. Here's how he explains the track's arrival:
I wrote this last week. It's a weird time isn't it. We were looking forward to the Summer just like everyone else, festivals and gigs all there, new music, new stage set — but this has taken the wind from everyone's sails. And none of us know quite how to cope with it all. I just wrote a tune the same way other people might talk to a therapist!
Listen to "Where the Fuck Did April Go" below.
None of Us Are Getting Out of This Life Alive arrives on July 10 via Island.
