Goofy pop-punk lifers the Offspring haven't done much this year, but what they have accomplished has been, well, interesting. Following a cover of a song from the viral Netflix show Tiger King way back in April, they're back with, well, a Christmas song.
Rather than come up with a pretty fly Christmas joke song of their own, the band have instead opted to deliver a cover of Darlene Love's singalong "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)."
"It just seemed like the world could use a nice holiday song right now," Dexter Holland said in a statement. "We've always been huge fans of Darlene Love, so when the idea came up to do a Christmas song, we jumped at the chance to record that one…and tried not to wreck it!"
The song, which was produced by Bob Rock, will be released on a limited 7-inch with the band's logo etched into the B-side. Until then, you can listen to it below.
