Toronto's the Beaches are the latest in the slew of national headliners that have postponed their Canadian tours.
Last summer, the quartet announced an extensive early 2022 cross-Canada trek in support of their latest Future Lovers EP — which landed on Exclaim!'s 25 Best EPs of 2021 list — with Windsor rock duo the Blue Stones, due to kick off on February 3 in Montreal. Today, they've shared 14 rescheduled dates for May and August.
"Due to the pandemic and provincial restrictions, our Future Lovers Tour has to be pushed back until May," the band said in a statement. "We wanted nothing more than to rock out with all of you in February. Our team has been working incredibly hard to ensure the safety of all our fans, band and crew is at the forefront while trying to find dates in the spring to accommodate these changes."
They added: "You may have noticed that your date/city has disappeared, but we promise we'll be back to see you this year. Please stay tuned!"
Tickets will be honoured for the rescheduled dates, with refunds being automatically processed at point of purchase if the show has been cancelled outright or the new date doesn't work for the ticketholder.
