Tennessee Twin

The Tennessee Twin is Cindy Wolfe and her band of merry musicians culled from the vibrant Vancouver indie music scene. The Memphis expatriate warbles her way through her original tales of woe and women done wrong, taking her cues from the likes of Lorretta Lynn and Kitty Wells. Wolfe, however, does trip a bit on the outset with the title track, but what she lacks in lyrical subtlety, the Tennessee Twin makes up in hooky hillbilly, as with "These Thoughts Are Occupied." Gnaw on this hayseed long enough and you'll begin to enjoy the flavour. Free to Do What? will stick in your brain and put a skip in your step, if you give it a chance.
