Corrosion of Conformity's Reed Mullin will finally deliver his long-promised, hardcore-influenced Teenage Time Killers LP by the end of the month. They're not just delivering speedy bursts of old-school fury, though, as evidenced by a new stream of the record's devilishly doomy and gloomy "Crowned by the Light of the Sun."
The hard-stompin' swerve brings to mind Black Sabbath more than it does Damaged-era Black Flag, with a thick wall of detuned chords bursting through the speakers alongside cannon-fire kick drum and the bluesy croon of Clutch member Neil Fallon. It's a different kind of Teenage Time Killers track than we've heard so far but a welcomed addition.
You can stream the new tune below, while the project's Greatest Hits Vol. 1 lands July 31 through Rise Records. As previously reported, it features guest appearances from the likes of Dave Grohl, Jello Biafra, Minor Threat/Bad Religion vet Brian Baker, Lamb of God's Randy Blythe and many, many more.
