Montreal's annual Taverne Tour has unveiled the lineup for its sixth edition in 2022 — and the organizers are ready to take us "Into the Matrix" with a free, interactive virtual festival on February 4 and 5.
The eclectic lineup of from-the-fringes rock, hip-hop, pop and more includes performances by Atsuko Chiba, SKIIFALL, Barry Paquin Roberge, Sheenah Ko, Seulement, Emma Beko, ALIAS, thisquietarmy x Away, Gus Englehorn, Julia Daigle, N NAO, Andy Jon and Alicia Clara.
Filmed at various venues and bars located off of Plateau Mont-Royal's main streets, this unique online concert series will allow festival-goers to explore an expanded and revamped virtual Montreal via the two-dimensional vintage video game-inspired platform Aire Ouverte.
The half-hour performances will kick off at 8 p.m. ET both evenings. Concurrent sets are scheduled to take place at 10 p.m. ET (with Emma Beko and Atsuko Chiba on night one, and thisquietarmy x Away and SKIIFALL on night two) before Barry Paquin Roberge takes the mic at 10:30 p.m. ET.
All of the programming details for Taverne Tour IV: Into the Matrix, as well as links to attend each free virtual performance, are available on the festival's website.
